VR Eddie was founded in 2016 by Eddie, a VR enthusiast who saw how confusing the headset market was for everyday buyers. What started as a Facebook community is becoming a decision platform and an invitation-based WebXR beta.
The platform combines editorial judgment with cited AI assistance. Sources, observed prices, timestamps, methodology, confidence, and limitations are exposed when they are available; stale or missing evidence downgrades the claim instead of becoming current data.
Eddie remains the editorial voice behind every review and guide, combining long-term VR perspective with AI assistance. The latest chapter — VR Eddie Labs and the Mixed-Reality Hoverboard — extends that mission into a browser experience whose candidate and device modes must be proven before they are presented as supported.
